Urgent Care centers

We'd love to share with you our urgent care model

Services

HealthTouch Care Centers

Meeting the various needs of diverse community members, earning their trust, and increasing patient satisfaction are essential to our mission. That is why our patient engagement initiative is authentic. Successful on-demand healthcare centers will know their patients and not just go through the motions; we know our communities well.

Our urgent care centers are welcoming, unlike the sterile look and feel of healthcare facilities operated by many of our competitors. Our practice/organization is built upon personal service and a first-class patient experience, unlike the larger, more corporate urgent care entities in the marketplace. We seek ways to differentiate our brand by offering our patented HealthCheck “PatientCare” personalized service.

Our healthcare providers focus on diagnosing and treating conditions of (almost) all ages while emphasizing preventative medicine and our patients’ overall health and wellness. The CARE CENTERs use up-to-date equipment, cloud-based software, and trained staff that optimizes each patient’s care. In addition, we understand many factors can affect health, including exercise, diet, environment, and heredity.

HealthCheck provides the most comprehensive urgent healthcare possible to augment the care and well-being of each patient in the communities in which we serve.

Our basic Urgent care services

Each care center comprises basic healthcare services designed to treat low acuity illnesses and ailments

Generally, HealthTouch provides broad-spectrum care for (almost) all ages and other procedures to create a “less-than-acute” healthcare solution. Moreover, we tailor our services to the communities where we locate a care center.

Our philosophy is that optimal health and performance can be attained through the proper balance of exercise, nutrition, and education. So, one of our goals is to educate our patients and treat them.

HealthTouch offers a telemedicine program that allows on-demand, walk-in, and at-home patients to be seen through our telemedicine platform.  Therefore, members of our communities can be seen by our doctors in our bricks and mortar facility or through a virtual visit.

Each care center will include the latest in video streaming and audio technology.  Video and audio technology will be built into our waiting lounges, examination rooms, doctors’ offices, telemedicine PODs, and multipurpose rooms.

This technology can be used for several purposes by our medical provider, management, or the community.

Our video and audio technology will always be HIPPA compliant.

Each CARE CENTER will also contain digital imaging capability, allowing HealthTouch to securely take, examine, and export digital images.  Our healthcare providers focus on diagnosing and treating conditions of (almost) all ages while emphasizing preventative medicine and our patients’ overall health and wellness.   So, our imaging plays a vital part in diagnosing the afflictions affecting our community members.

Based on the community, we will consider adding more enhanced radiological services, including CT Scans, MRI, and other services beyond the typical X-Ray services.

Our First Sites

We have identified two sites with solid demographics. One site is for ground-up construction while the other is in a Class A existing medical office facility as shown below.

Site Attributes

We require a higher level of finish in the properties we lease. So this is one of the first sites at which we’re looking. Moving into an existing building allows us to achieve our second quarter 2023 opening goal.

Interior Requirements

We prefer virgin space in leased facilities allowing us to build out to our specifications. We require a minimum of 3,000 s.f.

care centers

The thoughtful design of our CARE CENTERs is based on cleanliness, health consciousness, versatility, touchless attributes, and forward-looking technology.  We aspire to enlighten our patients about healthcare lifestyle options and, generally, the field of medicine when they are in our CARE CENTERs.

Each center will include themes that are important in each location.  Indeed, we include these themes to incorporate the values – family, relationships, belonging, community and loyalty – into each CARE CENTER.

We either build our care centers from the ground up or lease well-established retail centers with the proper characteristics inherent in building a profitable, well-used healthcare facility.

We also believe in adaptive reuse.  Accordingly, we like to acquire obsolete properties and repurpose them.

HealthTouch Care Centers are next level

Our Waiting Lounge

What’s That – Waiting Lounge?

That’s right, not the waiting room – the waiting lounge. Once the patient arrives in our CARE CENTER, we want them to be comfortable with the décor of our lounges. This is why they are designed to invoke a spa-like atmosphere. In addition, we provide tea and coffee from around the world to contribute to their healing. We also infuse the waiting area with aromatherapy design to create an “atmosphere.”

We display local art and themes, offer educational materials, and create the right mood using music to set a positive environment. In addition, we aim to improve health outcomes, and our waiting lounges are designed to establish a healthy, positive atmosphere and lessen anxiety.

Examination Rooms

Our examination rooms are styled similarly to our waiting lounges. Our CARE CENTERs typically contain 4 to 6 dedicated examination rooms equipped with the latest two-way video communication equipment. So, our healthcare providers can consult with the patients visiting our HealthTouch CARE CENTER when the visit requires a physician. For this purpose, our healthcare providers can treat patients without them physically being in the facility.

A physician or other healthcare provider can also use an examination room to consult with a patient away from our HealthTouch CARE CENTER. Moreover, each CARE CENTER will contain digital imaging capability, allowing HealthTouch to take, examine, and export digital images securely.

Our Urgent Care Attributes

Each HealthTouch Care Center offers characteristics endemic to our brand

We realize there are communities with substantial population and income demographics and almost no healthcare access.  I experienced this personally when I had a healthcare scare overnight and had nowhere to go within a 25-minute drive.  HealthTouch will close the healthcare access gap in the communities that demand more access.

Through our website and our App, you can "get in line" from the comforts of your home or anywhere with our online scheduling system and determine the current wait time.

You can complete our online patient form from home and speed up the onboarding process.

Our systems are end-to-end so that data is input once all the way through the system.  Information provided in our online patient form feeds into the EHR and PMS systems

The need for healthcare services will continue to rise at an astounding rate because the world's older population continues to grow significantly. The U.S Census Bureau forecasts the number of Americans aged 65 and older is projected to nearly double from 52 million in 2018 to 95 million by 2060, and the 65-and-older age group's share of the total population will rise from 16 percent to 23 percent.

Moreover, HealthCheck prescribes to the “age in place” ideology.  So, Home HealthCare, along with telemedicine and concierge medicine, are the hallmarks of our “age in place” process.

We are also considering other home healthcare services such as companion and personal care to skilled nursing and therapy services, staffing contracts, non-emergency transportation, and the sale of the same durable medical equipment we sell in our CARE CENTERs to in home hospice care.

Once we open a CARE CENTER, we will determine if home visit services are necessary for the community.  As many of our locations will have an older population, the need for the service is probable.

Home healthcare is handled through our concierge medicine program.  If a community warrants concierge medicine, it will have home healthcare, too.

HealthTouch offers a telemedicine program that allows on-demand, walk-in, and at home patients to be seen through our telemedicine platform.  Patients in our communities can be seen by our doctors in our bricks and mortar facility or through a virtual visit.

Telemedicine PODs

Also, each CARE CENTER includes telemedicine pods so that our Bricks and Mortar facilities can serve as a distant site for our healthcare providers as well as third-party practitioners that subscribe to our co-practice service.

We Take Most Insurance.

We observe most private insurance coverage as well as Medicare in our CARE CENTERs and through our telemedicine program.

Transparency - We Proudly Post Our Fees

We observe most private insurance coverage as well as Medicare through our CARE CENTERs and through our telemedicine program.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services  issued the Privacy Rule to implement the requirement of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”).

A major goal of the Privacy Rule is to assure that our community members’ health information is properly protected while allowing the flow of health information needed to provide and promote high quality health care and to protect the public's health and well being. The Rule strikes a balance that permits important uses of information, while protecting the privacy of our community members who seek care and healing.

The Privacy Rule protects all "individually identifiable health information" held or transmitted by a covered entity or its business associate, in any form or media, whether electronic, paper, or oral. The Privacy Rule calls this information "protected health information (PHI)."12

“Individually identifiable health information” is information, including demographic data, that relates to:

  • the individual’s past, present or future physical or mental health or condition,
  • the provision of health care to the individual, or
  • the past, present, or future payment for the provision of health care to the individual,

and that identifies the individual or for which there is a reasonable basis to believe it can be used to identify the individual.  Individually identifiable health information includes many common identifiers, e.g., name, address, birth date, Social Security Number.

For more information on HIPPA requirements, please see the summary for HIPPA Laws at the HHS website at: Summary of the HIPAA Privacy Rule | HHS.gov

Compliance to Confidentiality Laws and Requirements is at the forefront of everything we do.  From the waiting, patient conference, and examination rooms to the telemedicine interactions and post visit communications, we keep our community member's privacy at the pinnacle of our policies and procedures.

Through four verticals, we provide a wide range of healthcare and technological services for community populations and healthcare providers.  The subsidiaries through which we provide our services are:

  1. HealthTouch Urgent Care
  2. HealthTouch Foundation
  3. HealthCheck Realty Capital
  4. HealthCheck Tech Knowledgy

HealthTouch offers to medical subscribers the option of selling medical devices to their patients and others through our online medical mall.  Our mall is like what you would see at Amazon.

The Urgent Care industry is a vital element of the U.S. healthcare system. Urgent care centers provide a wide range of services such as low-level trauma treatment, occupational medicine, preventive health, school-related physicals and other services, thereby securing a wide range of potential patients for HealthCheck. Over the past five years, a shortage of primary care physicians, coupled with rising costs and wait times at emergency rooms, stimulated demand for urgent care centers to provide noncritical care. As a result, many Americans opted to visit urgent care centers that offer convenient care on a “walk-in” and “after-hours” basis.

Urgent care clinics handle about 122 million patient visits each year, or about 23% of all primary care visits and nearly 13% of all outpatient physician visits, according to the Urgent Care Association.  Further, as of early 2020, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC), Georgia had 310 urgent care centers.  Many of the clinics, however, are concentrated in smaller pockets, leaving a significant number of communities with few options.
